Altenew Guest Feature

Hello, crafty friends!
Ohhhhh, where do I even begin?! 🥹🩷
I have some exciting news to share, and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful! I had the incredible honor of being invited to serve as Altenew’s October 2026 Guest Designer of the Month!
Yessssss! You read that right! 🎉
When I received the invitation, I was filled with so much excitement and gratitude. Sometimes, when you’re busy creating, sharing tutorials, trying new techniques, and simply doing what you love, you don’t always realize who’s watching or how your work may be inspiring others.
This opportunity reminded me that every creative journey has its own beautiful story, and sometimes the sweetest moments arrive when you least expect them.
A Little About This Special Opportunity
One of the things I appreciated most about this invitation was having the creative freedom to design a project that reflected my personal style.
If you’ve been following The Diary of Belle Rose for a while, you already know how much I love dimensional florals, beautiful textures, ink blending, and adding those little finishing touches that make a handmade project feel extra special.
And let’s not forget the metallics! Because you know I love a little gold! 🤣✨
For my guest designer project, I wanted to create something elegant, dimensional, and meaningful.
Something that represented not only my creativity but also the heart behind why I enjoy cardmaking.
The Inspiration Behind My Friendship Card
For this project, I created a dimensional gardenia friendship card featuring several beautiful Altenew products.
Featured Altenew Supplies:
Gardenia Layering Die
Alhambra Mosaic Die
Timeless Sentiments
Sentiment Strips 2
I used Wilted Violet Distress Oxide to add soft lavender shading to the gardenia petals and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide to bring the leaves to life.
The Alhambra Mosaic Die created the beautiful textured background, while a metallic gold frame added just the right amount of elegance.
And, of course, I couldn’t resist adding a little sparkle using Distress Spritz in Linen!
But my favorite part of this entire design is the sentiment:
“Friend, You Are So Loved.”
There’s something so meaningful about creating a handmade card with a message that can brighten someone’s day.
Sometimes, a simple reminder that someone is loved and appreciated can make all the difference.
And that’s what I wanted this card to represent.
More Than Just a Card
As I worked on this project, I couldn’t help but reflect on how much joy creating has brought into my life.
What started as a love for making beautiful things has grown into something so much bigger through The Diary of Belle Rose.
It’s become a place where I can share ideas, connect with other creatives, teach fun techniques, share crafty gems, and hopefully inspire someone to try something they may have never attempted before.
And while I love the finished projects, some of my favorite moments happen during the creative process itself.
The experimenting. The unexpected discoveries. The little mistakes that turn into creative opportunities. And that wonderful feeling when everything finally comes together!
That’s the beauty of crafting.
A Heart Full of Gratitude
I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation to the amazing team at Altenew for inviting me to be a part of this special feature.
Thank you for recognizing my work, appreciating my creative style, and giving me the opportunity to share my passion with your wonderful crafting community.
It truly means so much!
And to my crafty friends who continue to support The Diary of Belle Rose—whether you’ve watched a tutorial, joined a livestream, visited my blog, left a sweet comment, or simply encouraged me along the way—THANK YOU!
Your support means more than you could ever imagine.
Every little bit of encouragement reminds me why I love sharing this creative journey with you.

A Little Encouragement Before You Go
Before I wrap things up, I want to share something that’s been on my heart.
Keep creating. Keep learning. Keep showing up for the things you love.
You never know where your creativity may lead or whose life you may touch along the way.
Not every project will turn out perfectly. Not every idea will come together the first time. And sometimes, you may even question whether what you’re doing is making a difference.
But don’t let those moments stop you from creating.
Your creative journey is yours, and every step is part of your story.
I’m so grateful for this opportunity, and I’m looking forward to continuing to learn, grow, and share even more crafty inspiration with you!
Until next time, happy crafting, friends!
With love and a little sparkle, ✨
Mirisha
